Zūm Services, Inc. in California seeks a senior Platform Engineer to own the architecture and roadmap for Zūm’s product platform.

You’ll work hands-on with TypeScript/Node.js, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis, Kafka and gRPC to keep foundations reliable as the product scales. You’ll collaborate with product teams to split monoliths, implement secure authentication and access controls, monitor production performance, and drive platform improvements that enable AI-driven coding and rapid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer, with platform or backend system focus.
• Deep expertise in Node.js/TypeScript and relational database design.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka or equivalent messaging, gRPC, Redis, and search/indexing systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and roadmap for Zūm's product platform, and build it with TypeScript/Node.js, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis, Kafka, and gRPC.
• Stay hands-on with the product and review features to keep foundational layers aligned with use.
