Job summary

Nango is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer to own the cloud infrastructure behind its open-source platform and customer deployments. You will lead BYOC and private cloud initiatives, shaping a product that runs at scale and under security/compliance review.

You will oversee Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, and ClickHouse, while driving IaC & GitOps, SLOs, and incident processes in a remote-first, developer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in platform/infrastructure/SRE roles, with production systems
• Deep production Kubernetes experience with opinions on its limits
• Experience operating software in BYOC/on-prem/air-gapped environments
• Strong AWS fluency; exposure to GCP/Azure helpful
• Terraform as native workflow with modular, safe state management
• PostgreSQL and data-layer expertise including migrations under load
• Direct exposure to compliance audits (SOC 2/ISO) and security reviews
• Product mindset with developer empathy; stack is TypeScript/Node
• Excellent remote communication and proactive ownership in a startup
• Based in North America, LATAM or Europe

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the cloud infrastructure behind our open-source platform: compute, networking, data layer
• Lead BYOC deployments with provisioning, upgrades, and observability at scale
• Operationalize and productize our IaC and GitOps foundations for fast shipping
• Make reliability a product feature with meaningful SLOs and an incident process
• Lead the data layer: Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse at growing scale
• Own infrastructure security and compliance: SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, security reviews
• Shape roadmap and company strategy with high ownership of key decisions
