Job summary

Nango is looking for a Staff Platform Engineer to own and scale our cloud platform and BYOC deployments. You will shape the infrastructure that powers a product-led, developer-focused business, enabling fast and reliable shipping at scale.

You will drive IaC, GitOps, and reliability as a core product feature, while owning the Postgres/Redis/Elasticsearch data layer and security programs. This is a remote, international role with significant ownership and impact.

Qualifications

10+ years in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.
Deep production Kubernetes experience with opinions on when not to use it.
Experience operating software in BYOC, single-tenant, on-prem, or air-gapped environments.
Deep AWS fluency with exposure to GCP/Azure helpful.
Terraform as native workflow with modules and multi-account topologies.
Databases as a strength, Postgres-focused with performance and migrations under load.
Experience with SOC 2 or ISO audits and security reviews.
Product mindset with developer empathy; stack is TypeScript and Node.

Responsibilities

Own and scale the cloud infrastructure behind our open-source platform: compute, networking, data layer.
Lead BYOC deployments with provisioning, upgrades, and observability at scale.
Operationalize and productize IaC and GitOps foundations for fast shipping as we grow.
Make reliability a product feature with meaningful SLOs and trusted incident processes.
Own the data layer: Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, and ClickHouse at growing scale.
Own the infrastructure side of security and compliance: SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, security reviews.
Contribute to roadmap and company strategy with high ownership of decisions.
