Job summary

Aktos is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to own and operate our cloud infrastructure in the United States. You will maintain AWS infrastructure, develop scalable backend features, and ensure robust API integrations, while keeping Postgres healthy and performant.

You will also manage CI pipelines, maintain developer environments, and provide on-call support to the team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development, 2+ years in SRE/DevOps, and strong AWS, Kubernetes, and Python

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of professional SRE/DevOps experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining/enhancing Kubernetes clusters via IaaC.
• 2+ years of professional experience with Python.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of professional SRE/DevOps experience
• Professional experience maintaining/enhancing Kubernetes clusters via IaaC
• 2+ years of professional experience with Python
• Strong fundamental understanding of RDBMS (Postgres preferred)
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS
• Solid engineering fundamentals and passion for high-quality code

Preferred Qualifications

• Terraform experience
• Experience with Docker, Helm, Github Actions, and Redis
• Product intuition and user empathy
