Job summary

Motive seeks a Staff Engineer on the Developer Productivity team to lead building the automation backbone for development, build, and delivery across SaaS, Mobile, and Embedded products. You will drive secure, scalable services using Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Github Actions, Tekton, Helm, Bash, and Python, guiding Golang, Ruby on Rails, and Python services.

You will define strategy, implement automated pipelines, and mentor engineers while improving local development experiences and enabling fast,

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of engineering experience.
• B.S. Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience building CI/CD infrastructure with multiple pipelines ( Tekton, Prow, CircleCI, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Github Actions ).
• Improving the SDLC release process and reproducible builds.

Responsibilities

• Define direction and initiatives for the team and platform.
• Build fully automated bootstrapping and delivery pipelines.
• Advance self-service engineering technologies and approaches.
• Improve local development experiences and ensure consistency.
• Build self-healing infrastructure for fast automated testing.
• Enhance performance and reliability of existing systems.
• Host sessions to drive adoption and collaboration.
• Coach and mentor engineers on designs.
