Job summary

Persona AI is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to own the developer infrastructure beyond a laptop to robots in customer facilities. You will manage a C++/Python/Rust/CUDA monorepo, ARM64 cross-compile matrix, kernel modules, and real-time patches, ensuring robust tooling for rapid deployment to Jetson devices.

The role emphasizes building, CI, and platform reliability across on-site lab networks, robot dev boxes, and offline-capable deployment processes, with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years operating production infrastructure for a software engineering org with CI/CD ownership.
• Deep Linux systems fluency including networking, storage, systemd, kernel and driver debugging.
• Hands-on ownership of a major CI system (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite, Jenkins) and understanding of build/cache layers.
• Real experience with a C/C++ build system at scale (e.g., Bazel, CMake) including cross-compilation and dependency pinning.
• Infrastructure as code and GitOps mindset: reviewable, reproducible, version-controlled changes.
• Fluent Python and Bash; you automate rather than document procedures.
• Strong written communication; you document and leave lasting decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the build/CI graph for a multi-language monorepo (C++/Python/Rust/CUDA) and ensure correct cross-compilation across AMD64 and ARM64.
• Manage CI capacity: self-hosted runners, GPU/hardware runners, and fast PR feedback.
• Ensure reproducible builds and bit-identical artifacts six months from now.
