Hidden Jobs seeks a Staff Platform Engineer to shape the cloud foundations behind an autonomous cybersecurity assessment platform. You will provide hands-on technical leadership with cross-team influence, guiding platform direction, developer workflows, and operational standards across a distributed engineering organization.

You will lead design and operation of AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, and shared platform services, build self-service workflows, and improve reliability, security, and observability

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform engineering with production ownership.
• Deep AWS cloud platform design and operation.
• Strong Kubernetes production operations and troubleshooting.
• IaC and automation with Terraform or Crossplane.
• Go and Python for platform services.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, and shared platform services underpinning a production cybersecurity product.
• Define architecture for infrastructure automation, regional capabilities, and ephemeral environments used by engineering teams.
• Build reusable platform capabilities, self-service workflows, and release-safety practices using infrastructure-as-code and declarative approaches.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, security, performance, and operability while participating in on-call rotation and post-incident reviews.
• Drive complex initiatives across multiple teams, mentoring engineers and improving documentation and runbooks.
