Wayve seeks a Staff Platform Engineer to build and operate cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and build systems, supporting software development lifecycle. You’ll help establish Wayve’s DevOps presence in Japan, working with teams in the UK and US during local hours.

You’ll maintain IaC (Terraform/Ansible), automate tooling, and scale CI/CD services while improving reliability, security and cost efficiency. Strong collaboration across global teams is essential.

Formación

• 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, build engineering, developer infrastructure, or related roles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Buildkite, Azure DevOps or similar).
• Build tooling and concepts: dependencies, caching, incremental and reproducible builds.
• Networking, cloud architecture, system reliability, and secure access controls.
• Experience with Linux, Git and shell scripting.

Responsabilidades

• Build, operate and improve cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and build systems, primarily in Azure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tooling for reliable delivery.
• Operate and scale CI/CD services, including build agents, runners, artifact storage and containerised workloads.
• Implement observability, monitor system health and troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline issues.
• Optimise cloud systems for performance, reliability, security and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure platforms meet application needs and support scalable delivery.
• Contribute to DevOps support channels, incident response and root cause analysis, reducing manual operations.
