Job summary

2K in Los Angeles seeks a Staff Platform Engineer to lead internal developer ecosystems, steering AI-enabled automation within the ADP. You will champion a platform-as-a-product approach, grow golden paths, and empower teams across studios with self-service tooling.

You’ll mentor senior engineers, shape multi-region Kubernetes patterns, and advance automation and reliability in a high-velocity gaming infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• 4+ years building internal developer platforms or Kubernetes tooling.
• Expert Kubernetes architecture and cloud-native internals.
• AWS and/or GCP production workloads management.
• Foundational knowledge of LLMs and AI agents in workflows.
• Strong Go, Python, Java, or Rust for automation.
• Masters Git, CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and Terraform.
• Ability to design multi-region, high-availability systems.

Responsibilities

• Own AI strategy and execution for the internal developer platform.
• Lead architectural roadmap and advisor to engineering leads.
• Drive platform-as-a-product approach and self-service capabilities.
• Identify bottlenecks and guide automation to improve velocity.
• Provide governance for Kubernetes, CI/CD, and service discovery.
• Oversee IaC with Terraform libraries across multi-cloud and on-prem.
• Offer Tier 2 support for platform-level issues and root-cause analysis.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to maintain platform stability.
