Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID is seeking a seasoned hardware validation engineer to lead platform bring-up and system debug across server and client compute platforms. You will develop memory validation plans, perform hands-on lab validation, and drive root cause investigations using data-driven analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hardware validation, system test, platform bring-up, firmware validation, or related role.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, processors, memory subsystems, firmware interaction, OS, and platform validation.
• Hands-on experience with hardware debug, diagnostic tools, issue tracking, and documentation.
• Experience with scripting or programming for automation and data analysis (Python, C/C++, C#, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Lead platform bring-up and system debug across server, client, and compute platforms including BIOS and memory training.
• Develop and implement memory validation plans to assess performance, compatibility, and reliability.
• Drive failure analysis and root cause investigations with documented actions and readiness risks.
• Partner with engineering, product, quality, and program teams to resolve technical issues and support product readiness.
• Leverage automation, scripting, data analysis, and AI-assisted workflows to improve validation efficiency and coverage.
