Job summary

Solvenow is looking for engineers to design and review pipeline projects from concept through design completion in the United States. You will modify production drawings, design components, and compile data for client presentations and contract administration.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with 3 years of pipeline experience or a Master's with 2 years; FE exam or EIT certification is preferred and consulting experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with 3 years of pipeline engineering experience preferred.
• Or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology or related degree from ABET-accredited program, FE exam passed, with 3 years of pipeline engineering experience.
• Or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 2 years of pipeline engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipeline design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for pipeline projects including transmission and distribution pipelines.
• Design pipeline components per project manager requirements.
• Apply knowledge of standard pipeline engineering concepts, principles, and procedures.
• Compile project data, write specifications, and assess feasibility of proposed applications when data is insufficient.
• Update drawings in CAD software to verify corrections.
• Prepare information for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
• Conduct field inspections, measurements, or calculations for clients.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

• Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
• Perform pipeline design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for a variety of projects, including but not limited to projects including pipeline projects, including transmission & distribution pipelines.
• Design pipeline components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
• Apply strong knowledge of commonly used pipeline engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the pipeline engineering services industry.
• Research and compile project-related data as required by the project managers. Compile studies and reports. Write specifications. Assess feasibility or soundness of proposed applications when data is insufficient, or testing is advisable.
• Update drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD-related software.
• Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of pipeline projects, including transmission & distribution pipelines.
• Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related degree from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of pipeline engineering experience required; consulting preferred.
• Or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology or related degree from an ABET-accredited program, successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and 3 years of pipeline engineering experience required, consulting preferred.
• Or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 2 years of pipeline engineering experience required, consulting preferred.
• Strong knowledge in standard pipeline engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
• Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Strong computer skills (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, ATF).
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
