American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational medicine. AFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.

Job Summary

To provide high-quality care to all patients of all age groups and assist in directing staff in the support of the care of our patients.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-quality patient care.
  2. Manage all patient care while on shift.
  3. Supervise all clinical staff while on shift.
  4. Ensure all charts are filled out and medical records are completed in a timely fashion.
  5. Process biological specimens when needed.
  6. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Board Certified/Board Eligible – Emergency Room, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (w/ER or UC experience).
  2. Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
  3. Professional appearance and attitude.
  4. Active and current medical licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.
  5. Ability to multi-task and work independently.
