Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an outpatient pharmacy technician to support the pharmacy team with patient service, inventory control, and cash handling. You will work alongside the pharmacy manager, pharmacist, and certified technicians to ensure efficient medication processing and service excellence.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, experience with Epic EMR, and the ability to thrive in a busy hospital setting while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 18+ years old with no felony convictions.
• Registered as Pharmacy Technician or Trainee with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: Monday Thru Friday 9a-11p rotating shifts, 3p-11p rotating weekends

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Trainee with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Maintains registration throughout employment.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Able/willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or possess an Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) Certification from the National Healthcare Association.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy or a hospital-based ambulatory pharmacy.
