Job summary

CPS Solutions, LLC is seeking a per diem Staff Pharmacist at Mesilla Valley Hospital in Las Cruces, NM. The role focuses on accurate order filling, verifying technician work, and maintaining pharmacy security within a centralized hospital setting.

You will train new staff, record patient and order details precisely, and support the Director in daily operations. Hours vary; two weekends per month with potential weekday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.

About the Facility:

Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120-bed psychiatric and detox facility that overlooks the city of Las Cruces. The grounds around the hospital are attractively landscaped for general outdoor activities and the facility includes special areas for patient activities: a multipurpose room, gymnasiums, ropes courses, outdoor swimming pool and tennis court, computer lab, classrooms, and activity therapy rooms. The hospital provides services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

As a per diem Staff Pharmacist

at Mesilla Valley Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

About the Pharmacy:

This centralized pharmacy utilizes HCS.Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00am-12:00noon.

Schedule:

This position is scheduled to work two weekends per month, both Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00am-12:00noon, and very occasionally weekdays to help cover staff PTO, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
• Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
• Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
• Demonstrated effective communications skills, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital or retail setting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.00 to $79.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
