Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Staff Pharmacist in Marion, OH to lead patient care and pharmacy operations. The role focuses on safe dispensing, patient education, and team leadership while maintaining Meijer policies and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, be licensed in the state, and have retail pharmacy experience with immunization certification. The position offers growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or PharmD degree required.
• Licensed pharmacist in the practicing state.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Experience in Retail/Community pharmacy advantageous.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Comply with Meijer policies, procedures and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and act as agent of change.
• Prioritize workload with excellent organization.
• Listen to patients and resolve their needs; provide good customer service.
• In the absence of the PIC, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee immunizations where allowed.
