Job summary

Kroger’s Fred Meyer pharmacy in Grants Pass, OR is hiring a pharmacist to fulfill prescription needs with accuracy, administer vaccines, and provide patient counseling. You will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain inventory, and uphold a professional image while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires a Pharmacy degree, state license, and at least 1 year of retail experience, with bilingual ability considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required and license to practice
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a retail pharmacy environment
• 1 year of retail experience and customer-facing responsibilities
• Second language proficiency (speaking, reading, or writing) preferred

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers’ prescription needs with a focus on accuracy
• Administer vaccines as needed
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with local, state, and federal laws (HIPAA)
• Maintain professional image and adherence to company dress standards
• Understand the trade area, customers and competition
• Maintain stock replenishment, inventory, records, and recalls per policy
• Maintain records for scheduled drugs and security procedures
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from approved sources
• Use accuracy tools and post-dispensing audits correctly
• Maintain signage and policy manuals and ensure staff training
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment
