Job summary

Saliba’s Extended Care Pharmacy, part of the Guardian family, seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our Phoenix team. You will prepare medications for dispensing, review orders, and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations in a fast-paced long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Active/pharmacist license without restrictions.
• Minimum 2 years' related experience in pharmacy operations.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software and multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to patient, including filling and packaging.
• Review orders and cycle-fill medications for accuracy.
• Verify legality and feasibility of dispensing based on allergies and interactions.
• Interpret prescription orders with professional judgment for safety and compliance.
• Adhere to Federal and State Board regulations and compounding guidelines.
• Transfer prescriptions as needed and respond to questions from patients and providers.
• Oversee technicians and provide performance feedback to supervisor.
