Island Hospital in Anacortes, WA is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to ensure safe and appropriate drug therapy for patients within the Island Hospital system. The role includes drug purchasing, inventory, distribution, storage, compounding/dispensing, and medication administration practices.

The position is onsite in Anacortes with Per Diem / Variable hours and a salary range of $59.14/hr to $88.72/hr. You will review orders, support drug utilization, and supervise technicians while communicating

Qualifications

• Reviews medication orders for dosing, interactions, allergies and disease-specific appropriateness.
• Communicates recommendations to physicians to optimize therapy.
• Enters medication orders into pharmacy system with care.
• Admixes aseptically parenterals as prescribed.
• Extemporaneously prepares medicines not available from manufacturers.
• Provides drug information to physicians and nurses.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians when needed.

Responsabilités

• Participates in activities to improve drug utilization.
• Enters medication orders into the pharmacy system with care.
