Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minnesota is seeking a Casual Pharmacy Operations Lead to oversee daily operations in the absence of the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and outstanding customer service.

You will supervise staff, support workflow efficiency, and maintain compliance with state rules, bringing leadership, independent judgment, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of pharmacy information systems and data entry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Mathematical abilities such as calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume; basic algebra; practical mathematics.
• Pharmacist MN Board of Pharmacy.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross).
• Immunization certified in State of MN within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the online pharmacy prescription system.
• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Assist Pharmacist-In-Charge to train, coach, and manage pharmacy staff
• Create and maintain patient profiles and prescription information to provide accurate care.
