Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Staff Pharmacist to lead and support the pharmacy team in a busy Little Rock store. You will dispense medications safely, counsel patients, immunize, and ensure compliance with all regulations.

You’ll cover shifts as needed, coach staff, and grow pharmacy performance while delivering compassionate care to patients within a collaborative health care team. The role requires an active pharmacist license in the state, an active NPI, and no DEA exclusions.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Overseeing the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts; coaching the pharmacy team and providing feedback to the Pharmacy Manager as needed
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, coaching the team, and resolving insurance and medication issues
• Delivering immunizations and coaching technicians to immunize
• Ensuring pharmacy operations comply with state Board regulations and escalating issues as needed
• Maintaining scheduling and contributing to a safe, inclusive team dynamic
• Maintaining clinical and technical skills and pursuing ongoing trainings and CMEs
• Supporting access to care and pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible; expanding patient care at every step
