Job summary

CVS Health in Kentucky is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead pharmacy operations, counsel patients, and ensure safe medication practices within our Retail locations. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, supervise bench shifts, immunize patients where allowed, dispense safely, resolve insurance issues, and maintain compliance with state boards.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and delivering accessible health services to our communities.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Responsibilities

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Overseeing the pharmacy as proxy for the Pharmacy Manager during shifts and coaching the team.
Assuming Pharmacy Manager duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
Supporting safe prescription fulfillment and following pharmacy workflow procedures.
Resolving insurance and medication issues to improve patient experiences.
Administering immunizations where permissible and mentoring technicians.
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS Health policies.
