Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist in Texas to lead patient care at a CVS Pharmacy location. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, supervise the pharmacy team, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient counseling.

Qualified candidates hold an active pharmacist license in the state, an active NPI, and are not DEA-excluded. Regular attendance, immunization duties where permitted, and strong regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly to meet patient and business needs.
• Verify prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and assist the Pharmacy Manager.
• Immunize patients where permitted and support technicians in the immunization process.
• Assist with inventory management, including cold chain protection and ordering.
• Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Assist with scheduling and maintain a safe, inclusive team environment.
• Maintain clinical and technical skills through ongoing training and CME participation.
• Support pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permitted.
