Job summary

Right Dose Pharmacy, part of the Guardian family, seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our Cedar Rapids team. You will prepare medications, verify orders, and ensure compliance with regulations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, dispensing medications, and assisting with inventory while maintaining high accuracy and patient safety. Competitive benefits and a supportive, growth-focused culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD. required.
• State Pharmacist License required without restrictions.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to the patient, including filling, order entry, and packaging.
• Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure prescriptions were filled correctly.
• Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies and other factors.
• Interpret prescription orders with professional judgment considering patient safety and legal limitations.
• Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
• Oversee the work of technicians and provide feedback to supervision.
• Log all error medication occurrences.
