Actually Las Vegas-based, insourcing compounding operations and shaping operations from the ground up. The ideal candidate holds a PharmD, active Nevada license, and 3+ years in hospital, infusion, or specialty settings with strong regulatory knowledge and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree and active Pharmacist license required.
• Minimum 3 years in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings.
• Strong leadership and regulatory expertise with sterile compounding.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) ensuring USP/FDA/state board compliance.
• Oversee sterile compounding operations, including workflow and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with multi-state regulations, including California and other non-resident states.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for sterile compounding and operations.
• Recruit, supervise, and train pharmacists and technicians.
• Manage inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions.
• Oversee environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation programs.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and dispensing of compounded sterile products.
• Collaborate with leadership on licensing and expansion strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and inspection readiness.

This permanent Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a newly established specialty pharmacy focused on GLP-1s, allergy medications, and immunotherapies. Located in Las Vegas, this growing pharmacy was recently built to insource compounding operations previously outsourced, presenting a unique chance to shape operations from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated PIC, ensuring full compliance with USP, FDA, and state board regulations
• Oversee sterile compounding operations, including managing workflow, personnel, and quality assurance
• Ensure adherence to multi-state pharmacy regulations, particularly California and other non-resident states
• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding
• Recruit, supervise, and train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
• Manage inspections, audits, and all regulatory interactions
• Oversee environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation programs
• Guarantee proper storage, handling, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations
• Collaborate with leadership on operational strategies, licensing, and expansion initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and ensure ongoing inspection readiness

Qualifications / Desired Experience

• Active Nevada license required; California license highly preferred due to significant business presence there
• Minimum of three years’ experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings
• Strong regulatory knowledge and experience in sterile compounding operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Willingness and ability to obtain additional pharmacy licenses as business grows
• Residency in Las Vegas preferred

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, day shifts

This direct hire role offers excellent salary potential starting around $170,000 annually, with $10,000 in annual incentives. Profit-sharing bonus opportunities are forthcoming, making this position ideal for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset. A compliance consultant has been retained to support regulatory adherence, ensuring a well-supported leadership environment.
