Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a part-time role at our store location. The Staff Pharmacist will support the Pharmacy Manager in leading the pharmacy team, ensure safe dispensing, immunizations, and patient counseling, and uphold compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role emphasizes patient care, coaching the team, and maintaining inventory while delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts without overlap, including strengthening pharmacy performance measures through coaching
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and caring, and resolving insurance and/or medication issues
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy; coaching Technicians to immunize
• Managing pharmacy inventory with focus on cold chain protection
• Ensuring operations comply with state Board regulations; escalating issues as needed
• Maintaining a flexible schedule and contributing to a safe, inclusive team dynamic
• Maintaining clinical and technical skills; pursuing trainings and CMEs
• Supporting access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible
