Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for our CVS Health locations. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, oversee the pharmacy team, and ensure safe dispensing, patient counseling, and immunizations. The role emphasizes patient care, regulatory compliance, and teamwork to maintain high-quality service.

You will participate in immunizations, prescription accuracy, and collaboration with the patient’s healthcare team while flexibly adapting to scheduling and business needs.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Oversee pharmacy operations as acting Pharmacy Manager during bench shifts.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflows and safety guardrails.
• Deliver immunizations and coach technicians to immunize.
• Assist with inventory management, especially cold chain products.
• Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS policies.
• Maintain clinical and technical skills through trainings and CME coursework.
• Support pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible; collaborate with healthcare team.
