Job summary

Ingles Markets, Inc. is seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to ensure safe and accurate dispensing of medications and to support daily store pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes patient counseling, immunization administration, and adherence to federal, state, and company regulations, with opportunities for growth and advancement within Ingles Markets’ pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in good standing in the applicable state.
• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Provide patients with clear and professional medication counseling.
• Administer immunizations and vaccinations in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, healthcare providers, and store leadership.
• Support daily pharmacy workflow and promote efficient, high-quality service.
• Maintain accurate patient records and required pharmacy documentation.
• Assist with inventory management, medication ordering, and control of pharmacy supplies.
• Address patient questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Support training and development of pharmacy technicians and other team members as needed.
