Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist Float for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Retail Pharmacy in the Piedmont area. This is a full-time role (40 hours) with a 1st shift start between 7am and 11am and travel across pharmacy sites in Winston-Salem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy or FPGEC NABP.
• Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice.
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care and designs medication therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on therapy, safety, and administration.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific regimens based on literature and policies.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions.
• Participates in medical emergencies and supports medication safety initiatives.
• Collaborates on formulary adherence and medication-use processes.
• Prepares, dispenses, and oversees storage and handling of medications.
• Serves as a preceptor and mentors pharmacy teammates and students.
• Directs pharmacy support team to ensure safe workflows and regulatory compliance.
• Assesses age-specific patient care needs across the lifespan.

Education
