Vail Valley Pharmacy in Edwards, Colorado seeks an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a hands-on, patient-focused role in an independent, full-service pharmacy. You will work with the PIC and Lead Pharmacy Technician to support compounding, DUR, immunizations, and comprehensive medication counseling.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must have PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited program.
• CPR certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication safety, and clinical decision-making.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Retail or community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Genuine interest in compounding, supplements, and personalized wellness care.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions, including compounded medications, per laws and standards.
• Perform prospective drug utilization reviews (DUR) and ensure patient safety.
• Counsel patients and administer immunizations and pharmacist-delivered services.
• Follow established workflows and adapt to daily priorities.
• Provide guidance to technicians and staff on pharmacist oversight matters.
• Serve as pharmacist on duty when PIC is absent to ensure compliant operations.
• Assist with prescription processing, data entry, dispensing, and customer service as needed.
• Collaborate on inventory management and pharmacy profitability.
• Maintain records and comply with Colorado pharmacy laws and safety standards.
• Foster a professional, team-oriented environment with strong communication.
