Vail Valley Pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and customer-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our team in Edwards, Colorado. We are a locally owned and operated, full-service independent pharmacy specializing in compounding and pharmaceutical-grade supplements. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a hands-on, patient-focused role. You will work collaboratively with our Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician, who plays a key role in coordinating daily pharmacy operations.

We are seeking a flexible, detail-oriented pharmacist who respects established workflows, welcomes operational guidance and feedback, works well with the entire team, and exercises independent professional judgment in clinical and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescriptions, including compounded medications, in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards.
• Perform prospective drug utilization reviews (DUR), identify medication-related concerns, and exercise sound clinical judgment to ensure patient safety.
• Counsel patients regarding prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and supplements; administer immunizations and provide appropriate pharmacist-delivered services.
• Follow established pharmacy workflows and adapt to daily operational priorities.
• Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other staff on matters requiring pharmacist oversight.
• Serve as the pharmacist on duty when the PIC is absent, ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant pharmacy operations.
• Assist with prescription processing, data entry, dispensing, answering phones, customer service, and cashier duties as needed.
• Collaborate on inventory management, cost control, and pharmacy profitability.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with applicable federal and Colorado pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Foster a professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environment that emphasizes collaboration, communication, and exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy program.

Schedule & Work Location

Pharmacy hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM-4:00 PM; Sunday closed. Closed six major holidays.

Edwards, Colorado 81632. Ability to commute to Edwards or relocate before starting work required.
