Magnit is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a temporary contractor role focused on utilization management. The position involves reviewing plan policies to determine coverage and providing clinical support for all UM activities.

Responsibilities include clinical reviews, denials of prior authorization requests, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered service. Remote role across the United States.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist Licensure required.
• Bachelor's in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• 2+ years lead/supervisor or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Utilization Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Coverage Review Department as a clinical resource for drug therapy questions.
• Applies critical thinking to achieve proper clinical decisions during reviews.
• Uses multiple systems to inform UM decisions.
• Manages a queue that prioritizes clinical reviews.
• Makes timely clinical decisions, sometimes with limited information.
• Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a customer-centric experience.

Position

This position is a temporary assignment. As a contractor, you'll be employed by Magnit, not The Cigna Group or any subsidiaries of The Cigna Group.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE

This is a fully remote role open to candidates across the US.

Hours

Training Hours: M-F 9am-5:30pm EST
Working Hours: M-F 9:30am - 6pm in their respective time zone

ROLE OVERVIEW - 37729414 Staff Pharmacist

Utilization management pharmacists are responsible for reviewing each plan's policy to determine if coverage can be granted for medication.

Provide clinical support and oversight for all utilization management (UM) activities.

Responsible for finalizing all denials of clinical prior authorization requests.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Coverage Review Department (CRD) as a clinical resource for drug therapy questions
• Applies critical thinking to achieve proper clinical decisions when performing clinical reviews
• Utilizes multiple systems and other clinical resources to achieve proper decisions in Utilization Management reviews
• Works and maneuvers within a queue system that prioritizes clinical reviews
• Makes clinical decisions quickly and at times decides and acts with limited information
• Works and collaborates with a multi-disciplinary clinical team to provide a customer centric experience

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $53.00.00/hour-$60.00/ hour. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met)
