Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to patients.
  • Review orders and cycle-fill medications for accuracy.
  • Verify legality and safety of dispensing based on allergies and interactions.
  • Interpret prescription orders with professional judgment for patient safety.
  • Adhere to federal/state regulations and compounding guidelines.
  • Transfer prescriptions between pharmacies as needed.
  • Assist patients, doctors, nurses with questions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders when below par.
  • Oversee technicians and provide feedback to supervisor.
  • Log medication errors and participate in process improvements.
