Qualifications

  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration per state requirements; National Certification preferred (PTCB)
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications related to department operations and job function
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, manage, and schedule technicians to ensure adequate coverage for workflow within budgeted labor/Rx while keeping overtime low
  • Develop training materials for departments and update as needed
  • Evaluate and modify workflow processes and implement changes as necessary to meet deadlines, accuracy and efficiency targets
  • Ensure all medications are complete and accurate prior to scheduled departures with sufficient time for the medications to be prepared for courier delivery
  • Assign and manage work volume appropriate to each technician’s duties, measuring both productivity and accuracy
  • Ensure Fulfillment technicians are fully trained on assigned workflow area and processes within established time period
  • Manage daily automation audits to ensure accurate packaging and filling of medications
  • Work with Director of Operations to conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
