The responsibilities of a Staff Pharmacist include:

1. Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
2. Supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team, including acting as the primary pharmacist-on-duty when needed, and providing feedback on team performance.
3. Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety protocols.
4. Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathetic care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance or medication issues.
5. Offering and delivering immunizations, supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization procedures.
6. Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with attention to cold chain products.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, escalating issues as needed.
8. Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, supporting the pharmacy team.
9. Maintaining clinical and technical skills, seeking opportunities for professional development.
10. Supporting access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible.
11. Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and policies to support patient safety and a safe workplace.
