Job summary

Heartland Homecare, a Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy company, is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for our Lawrence, KS facility. Hours: M-F, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM CST with on-call rotation every 5 weeks, plus a $500 on-call stipend.

Qualifications

• Must possess KS State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Experience with document management systems such as Docutrack or ECM preferred, but not required.
• Positive personality with ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages workflow processes including pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by Kansas State Boards of Pharmacy, the DEA, and FDA.
• Performs duties with a friendly, positive, team-oriented approach.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards.
• For on-call rotation every 5 weeks, available for guidance via phone; may be asked to come in for emergencies.
• All other duties as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge

Duties And Responsibilities

• Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging

• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the Kansas State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive and team-oriented approach
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards
• For on-call rotation every 5 weeks, will entail routinely being available for guidance via phone calls; on rare occasions, being asked to come into the facility for emergencies
• All other duties as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
• Experience with document management system such as Docutrack or ECM preferred, but not required

• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to withstand long hours of computer screen time and deskwork
• Must be able to stand/be on feet for duration of an eight (8) hour shift
