Job summary

Heartland Homecare, a Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy company, is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a part-time position in Lawrence, KS. The role requires three days per week with eight-hour shifts, including one closing shift, on site at our Lawrence facility.

Responsibilities include pharmacist verification, order review, regulatory compliance, and maintaining licenses. Strong teamwork and computer skills are essential in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Experience with document management systems such as Docutrack or ECM preferred, but not required.
• Positive personality able to work well within a team.
• Ability to function in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages the workflow processes including pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by Kansas State Boards, the DEA, and the FDA.
• Performs duties with a friendly, team-oriented approach.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards.
• All other duties as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge.
