Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Lawrence, KS is hiring a part-time Staff Pharmacist to support our long-term care services. Based onsite at our Lawrence facility, you will play a key role in workflow management, medication order review and regulatory compliance.

We operate as a long-term care pharmacy serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 2007, originating from Tarrytown Pharmacy. Competitive compensation, PTO and an encouraging environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Experience with document management system such as Docutrack or ECM preferred, but not required
• Positive personality who is able to work well within a team
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the Kansas State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive and team-oriented approach
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards
• All other duties as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge
