Job summary

Ohio Pharmacy Solutions Group is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to ensure accurate prescriptions, deliver excellent customer service to facility staff and residents, and supervise technicians. The role includes training the Pharmacy team and stepping in for the Pharmacist in Charge as needed.

The position requires a licensed PharmD with LTC experience being a plus and familiarity with PCC. Compliance with laws and infection control guidelines is essential, with focus on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with active registration.
• Long Term Care experience a plus.
• Knowledge of PCC (Point Click Care) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with LTC software systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions filled.
• Provide excellent customer service to facility staff and residents.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff on duty.
• Train and coach Pharmacy staff as needed.
• Assist Pharmacist in Charge and manage the pharmacy in absence of the supervisor.
• Maintain security of the Pharmacy department and comply with regulations.
• Address facility and resident issues to maintain trust and loyalty.
• Engage with physicians and nurses to review orders and resolve issues.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and follow infection control guidelines.

Frequent independent judgments are essential.
