Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to support CHS PCB CAD tools and automate design flows across platforms.

You will help deploy tools like Cadence Allegro and Siemens Xpedition, while contributing to process automation, design services, and methodology support for global teams. The role emphasizes coordination with engineering/CAD, knowledge of PCB fabrication, stack-ups, and DFM, and requires strong scripting skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic file exchanges between PCB and mechanical software tools.
• Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, capabilities, and limitations.
• Familiarity with PCB design practices and industry standards.
• Understanding of PCB stack-up development and controlled impedance requirements.
• Experience installing EDA tools and libraries.
• Associate’s degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Engineer will support global tool deployment and develop automated processes for EDA workstreams.
• Provide design services, methodology support, and project consulting for PCB design.
• Evaluate new EDA tools and optimize PCB design flows across platforms.
• Maintain coordination with Engineering and CAD to resolve PCB issues.
• Communicate project status and share results via reports and presentations.
