Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is looking for a PCB Designer to join the Central Hardware Systems PCB CAD team in San Diego.

You will design and document PCBs across 5G platforms, collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers from concept to fabrication. You will use CAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition, Valor, and Downstream Technologies Blueprint to deliver high‑quality layouts that meet manufacturing standards and project schedules.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of PCB CAD design experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience exchanging design data between PCB and mechanical tools.
• Basic understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) requirements.
• Associate's degree in electronics or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and document PCB layouts conforming to standards and constraints.
• Develop PCB layouts for 5G designs across multiple business units.
• Learn and use PCB CAD tools: Xpedition, Valor, Blueprint.
• Evaluate design trade-offs to meet project goals and cost targets.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing; resolve issues with fabrication vendors.
• Communicate progress via email and Teams meetings.
