Job summary

Wellstar Health System is looking for a highly skilled Staff Pathologist to join the pathology team at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia. This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a diverse, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of accredited residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) or Anatomic Pathology (AP).
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anatomic Pathology and/or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
• Fellowship training in Cytopathology.
• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology and cytopathology.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and diagnose a broad range of surgical pathology specimens.
• Provide expertise in gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytopathology.
• Collaborate closely with clinicians and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical conferences.
• Maintain accurate and timely pathology reports.
• Contribute to the education of medical students and residents.
