Job summary
Motive is hiring a Staff System Software Engineer in Austin. You will design and develop on-edge IoT platforms across Linux, Android, and RTOS, helping build next-generation hardware and modular software features in a collaborative agile environment.
In this hybrid role (2 days in office), you will work with cutting-edge technology and drive end-to-end development from features to validation. 8+ years of experience and a CS/CE/EE degree are required, with deep Kotlin, Java, C++, AOSP, Android OS
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong experience with Kotlin, Java and C++.
- Deep experience with AOSP, Android OS and Linux.
- Embedded programming on Linux and RTOS.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance firmware and software for IoT platforms.
- Debug, optimize, and validate firmware on multi-core architectures.
- Develop automated unit tests to validate designs.
- Contribute to architectural discussions for next-gen business logic.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to implement features.
- Validate features using cloud-based analysis at scale.
