Job summary

Motive is seeking a Staff System Software Engineer to design and develop on-edge IoT platforms. You will create firmware and software for cutting-edge systems on Linux, Android, and RTOS, and contribute to next-generation hardware platforms in a hybrid role with 2 days in the office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and C++.
• Deep experience with AOSP, Android OS, and Linux.
• Embedded programming experience on Linux and RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance firmware and software for IoT platforms.
• Debug, optimize, and validate firmware on multi-core architectures.
• Develop automated and unit-level tests to validate designs.
• Contribute to architectural discussions for next-generation logic.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and test features.
• Validate features using cloud-based analysis at scale.
