Job summary

Anthropic is seeking Software Engineers to join our Observability team in Seattle. You will design and build scalable telemetry ingest, metrics, logs, traces, and error data pipelines across multi-cluster infrastructure.

You'll own core observability platforms, develop instrumentation libraries including eBPF-based tooling, and work with Research, Inference, Product, and Infra teams to improve reliability and efficiency at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating large-scale observability infrastructure.
• End-to-end signals instrumentation through ingest to query and analysis.
• Understanding of high-throughput telemetry pipelines at scale.
• Comfort debugging below the application layer (kernel/network/hardware).
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable telemetry ingest and storage pipelines.
• Develop observability solutions for deep, low-overhead visibility across fleet.
• Own and evolve core observability platforms and migrations.
• Build instrumentation libraries and eBPF-based auto-instrumentation.
• Reduce MTTD/MTTR with cross-signal correlation and AI-assisted tooling.
• Improve fleet efficiency via profiling and telemetry insights.
• Collaborate with Research, Inference, Product, and Infra teams.
