Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Transplant Department at University Hospital, 16 North. The role centers on providing and coordinating comprehensive nursing care for transplant patients.

A licensed RN with a CCNE/ACEN-accredited nursing degree is required, along with an Ohio license or interim permit. Prior transplant or acute care experience is preferred. The position includes a 36-hour/week rotating shift and background check requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE/ACEN accredited program is required.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit is required.
• Experience in relevant care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise nursing care, coordinating with the patient care team.
• Assess, plan, implement, delegate, and evaluate patient nursing care per professional standards.
• Support patient and family involvement in care plans and outcomes.

Position Summary: The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred.
