The Stead Family Children’s Hospital Operating Room is seeking a Staff Nurse to apply nursing theory to the assessment diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness, assess patient health care preferences and expectations, and collaboratively coordinate the continuum of care across settings. This position adheres to the standard weekend option schedule of rotating, 12-hour shift between the hours of 3pm on Friday and 7am on Monday.

The Department of Perioperative Services within the Stead Family Children’s Hospital is responsible for providing services for patients before, during, and after surgery. Our staff is committed to providing quality patient care, compassionate service, and exhibiting UI Health Care ICARE Core values in all we do. Percent of Time: 60%
Schedule: Weekend option line 7-19 Sat and Sun; no call requirement, holidays when they fall on the weekend but not additional
holiday coverage.
Pay Grade: $36,710 to commensurate *This does not include inpatient differential of $6,000 annually. Some shifts scheduled in this position may also be eligible for a shift differential. Shift differentials are further detailed in the UI Health Care SNAHP manual - https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/seiu-pay-plan - Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on incentive up to $10,000 based on years of experience!
