Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide and coordinate high-quality patient care for individuals and families in our 21 North trauma/acute care setting. You will work within a dedicated team focused on safety, communication, and compassionate service.

The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, supervise other team members, and collaborate with physicians and support staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Scope of Position: The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. Position Summary: The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

21 North is a 30-bed unit in the Acute Care Department. We specialize in trauma, orthopedic, and emergency general surgery.
