Health Care Administrators Association® (HCAA) seeks a Staff Nurse for the PICU to assess, plan, and deliver family-centered critical care across diverse pediatric patients. You will lead clinical teams, mentor staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

You will provide comprehensive care, emphasizing safety, education, and evidence-based practices, while supporting efficient operations and excellent patient service in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • BSN or equivalent; Ohio RN license required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct family-centered nursing care for diverse patient groups.
  • Provide comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
  • Perform leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including staff education and precepting new employees.
  • Deliver patient-centered care, participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
  • Support collaborative team efforts to ensure efficient operations, high-quality care, and excellent customer service.
  • Engage in systems-based practices, informatics, and technology duties, with potential temporary assignments across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in healthcare and familiarity with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Education & Certification
  • BSN or within 5 years of hire; current RN licensure in Ohio.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant healthcare experience preferred.
