Job summary

Englewood Health in Englewood, NJ, seeks a Staff Nurse (RN) with PACU experience to deliver direct patient care in a busy hospital setting. The role coordinates care across disciplines, makes timely decisions, and documents care in the EHR. The position is full-time in the PACU, with day shifts from 9:00am to 9:30pm, and requires NJ RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.

Minimum 3 years in PACU is required; BSN is preferred. CPAN is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current NJ RN License, BLS, ACLS and PALS required. CPAN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the PACU per established policies and procedures.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Make sound decisions during changes in condition while maintaining calm demeanor.
• Document patient care using the Electronic Health Record.
• Coordinate with physicians and team members on patient status and test results.

Job Summary

The Staff Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. The tasks and responsibilities include:

• Creating an environment that leads to a positive patient care experience by evaluating, planning and implementing effective plans of care and communicating with both patients and their families
• Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care in an acute or clinic settings
• Making sound decisions in response to changes in condition/response to treatment while maintaining a calm demeanor
• Utilizing the Electronic Health Record to document patient care
• Effectively coordinating with physicians and team members regarding changes in patient status, symptomatology, results of diagnostic tests and critical test values
