University of Iowa Health Care is seeking Staff Nurses to support patient care in the Main Operating Room, with supervision by the Nurse Manager. The roles specialize in gynecology, transplant, and urology, serving 24/7 with 30 ORs and five teams of RNs and surgical technologists.

Care duties include assessment, planning, and coordination across settings, discharge planning, and adherence to safety protocols.

Formación

• Requires ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN in Nursing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Interpersonal skills with patients and team members are essential.
• General computer skills are required.
• Current Iowa nursing license required by date of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Applies nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness
• Assesses patient health care preferences and expectations
• Collaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across settings
• Develops patient care plan based on patient condition, age, and psychosocial factors
• Implements patient care plan according to patient priorities and nursing diagnoses
• Collaborates with patients and families in the multidisciplinary care plan
• Develops and implements transfer/discharge planning throughout episode of care
• Implements nursing interventions per policies to maintain a safe environment
• Follows universal precaution
